State government will organise camps to regularise illegal colonies and commercial shops constructed in residential properties.
As chief minister Vasundhara Raje is likely to make an announcement on organising Sheheri Jan Kalyaan Shivir on the third anniversary of BJP govt, the urban development and housing (UDH) department is all set to make preparations in urban local bodies (ULBs) across the state.
State government will organise camps to regularise illegal colonies and commercial shops constructed in residential properties. “The draft to provide relaxations during the regularisation process has been sent to chief secretary of Rajasthan who will forward it to state cabinet. The camps will be organised after receiving cabinet’s nod,” said a senior UDH official.Sources in the department said, “ULBs will start accepting the applications for regularization after CM’s announcement of organising camps. The process will start after the draft to provide relaxations gets an approval.”
During the camp, government will also provide rebate to lease money and urban development (UD) tax depositors. Relaxation to regularise illegal colonies and units till June 30, 2018 will also be provided, an official said.
ULBs will also regularise the colonies developed on agricultural land before June 17, 1999. Colonies where more than 75% construction work has been done will be considered for regularisation. Plots on or above 20 feet roads will also be regularised. Plots purchased with unregistered documents in these colonies before December 31, 2015 will be regularised at normal rates, whereas people who bought plots after December 31, 2015 will have to pay double regularisation charges.
In its proposal, the UDH department has also incorporated provisions to regularise colonies developed on government land. Colonies developed on government land till August 15, 2009 will also come under regularistaion.
